"My connection with coastal Karnataka is profound," reminisces Golden Star Ganesh about his journey in the Kannada film industry. "The director, producer, and music director of my debut film, Chellata, all hailed from Mangaluru. Life has continuously brought me back to Karavali, and destiny played a role in my marriage to Shilpa, who is also from the region. Over time, my bond with Tulu culture and the land of Parashurama Srishti has only deepened. Three years ago, during an event in Mangaluru, I expressed my aspiration to create a Tulu film someday. Now, that dream is materializing as Shilpa and I gear up to work on our Tulu film," Ganesh shares.

Reflecting on the cultural impact of his mother-in-law, Ganesh acknowledges, "She often shares Tulu plays, Yakshagana performances, and clips from Tulu films with me. The talent in the Tulu industry is awe-inspiring, particularly their impeccable comic timing. Working with exceptional actors like Aravind Bolar and Arjun Kapikad has been a privilege, witnessing their brilliance firsthand. Collaborating with talents such as Sandeep Bedra, Nityaprakash Bantwal, Mohan Bhatkal, and Santosh Rai Pathaje is truly exciting, as they have already left their mark in cinema." Ganesh reveals that he will make a cameo appearance in the film, marking his Tulu cinema debut, and jokes, "I speak the language fluently and understand it well, so expect me to deliver a few dialogues."

"Our Tulu film will showcase Karavali, similar to how Mungaru Male highlighted Coorg," shares Shilpa Ganesh. For her, the film is a personal tribute to her roots. "Growing up in Dubai, I would visit home for holidays, and my aunts would take my mom and me to watch Tulu dramas at the Town Hall."Located in Mangaluru, a region abundant in culture and artistry, much of its potential has yet to be realized. Through this film, our aim is to showcase Mangaluru, similar to how "Mungaru Male" promoted tourism, art, culture, and linguistic diversity in Coorg, as stated by Shilpa.
